Ecommerce Merchandising Manager

Position Purpose: The Manager of Merchandising and Operations is responsible for overseeing all aspects of new product development and support, including managing new vendors and eligibility approval process with external IRS representative group. This role will also manage the product set-up, forecasting, sku management within our distribution network. In addition, this is a highly analytical role. Candidate must have a working knowledge of SQL and also a high level of intellectual curiosity to analyze data and determine trends and opportunities. The focus of the position will be driving revenue through new product introductions and pricing analysis. This role will also focus on improving profitability through negotiating costs with vendors and identifying areas to improve operational efficiencies. The Merchandising and Operations Manager plays a critical role in managing all vendor relation both from a product procurement perspective and order fulfillment perspective.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

  • 30% - Effectively leads and facilitates the introduction of new products. Includes researching new and innovative products to bring to market, vendor negotiations, managing the eligibility approval process, and working with IT team to upload products to database.
  • 30% - Collaborates with a 3rd party warehouse providers. Establishes pricing, manages buying forecast process, coordinates new product set up, as well as oversees inventory. This includes extracting data from SQL to analyze information to improve forecasting accuracy as well as identify issues with supply or pricing.
  • 20% - Collaborates with Marketing group and vendor base on co-operative marketing opportunities, new product launches as well as identifying promotional events.
  • 20% - Continually challenges status quo and is passionate about driving improvements through technology, innovation, process improvement and personal development.

Travel: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education Required: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program in operations management or merchandising with a strong concentration on analytics or statistics.

Work Experience Required: 3-4 years in a similar position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership skills and proven ability to make decisions, and deliver results.
  • Knowledge of computer science.
  • Strong ability to multitask and handle competing priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in quantitative data analysis and interpretation.

Marketing Operations Analyst, Full Time

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of two years of experience in marketing analytics, operations and/or website testing. A bachelor degree in marketing, communications or business, and experience with Excel, HTML and CSS is required. Javascript and SQL knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities
