Whirlpool Baths: FSA Eligibility

Whirlpool baths are eligible for reimbursement with flexible spending accounts (FSA), health savings accounts (HSA), and health reimbursement accounts (HRA) with a Letter of Medical Necessity. They are not eligible for reimbursement with dependent care flexible spending accounts and limited care flexible spending accounts (LCFSA).

Sitting in a whirlpool tub for a period of time has a number of benefits, both physical and mental.

How does it help reduce mental stress?

Whirlpool tubs can be used to help people with osteoporosis increase mobility and strength as they experience buoyancy and can perform light exercise underwater. The bubbling of the Jacuzzi is particularly soothing and will help to relax you both mentally and physically. How does it treat muscle pain and soreness?

Hopping in a whirlpool tub can be an effective way to treat sore muscles and joints.
