How to Celebrate National Running Day with an FSA

The first Wednesday in June is a special day in the hearts of the asphalt warriors and park trekkers you’ll see traversing cities and towns all over the U.S. each day. National Running Day began in 2009 by a collective of running organizations, and since then has grown into a countrywide celebration of recreational running.

Whether you’re an avid runner or looking to get back in the swing of things, June 4, 2014 is as good a time as ever to lace up your cross trainers and get out and set some new goals for yourself. If you’re looking for a place to start, here are a few tips from to help you kick off National Running Day with a bang.

Prepare for the road ahead

Jumping off the couch and into a running routine is easier said than done. You’ll have to prepare for the inevitable soreness and gradual easing back into shape.
