FSAstore.com has made it easy for you to use your FSA card to purchase over-the-counter (OTC) drugs and medicines that require a prescription for reimbursement.

Here's How It Works

Step 1

Shop for FSA eligible-with-prescription products at FSAstore.com. All products at FSAstore.com are designated with one of the following icons:

FSA eligible products. You can use your FSA card to purchase these products.
FSA eligible-with-prescription products. You can purchase these products with your FSA card if you have a prescription or you can use any major credit/debit card.

Step 2

During checkout, click on the Prescription banner to complete the prescription process (sign in required).

Simply provide us with your physician's information (name, phone number, address) and we will take care of the rest!

If you have your prescription ready, please mail it or you may ask your doctor to fax it to our pharmacy partner.

Why do I need to submit a prescription for over-the-counter (OTC) items?

In compliance with new Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations effective January 1, 2011, all OTC medicines and drugs reimbursed from Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA/HSA) must be accompanied by a prescription.

The regulation only applies for purchases of OTC medicines and drugs with FSA funds. You do not have to obtain a prescription if you do not plan to use your FSA funds.
