Are air purifiers eligible for FSA reimbursement?

Air purifiers are generally not automatically eligible for reimbursement. An air purifier may be eligible for FSA reimbursement with a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) only if you are using it to relieve or alleviate a specific medical condition and you would not otherwise have purchased it. If you are using an air purifier to clean the air as an aid to maintaining general good health, or if you already had the air purifier before developing a medical condition, it does not qualify for reimbursement.
