Vitamins are not typically an eligible FSA item unless they are specified vitamins that treat a medical condition, such as glucosamine for arthritis, for example. Advil is eligible on an FSA with a prescription. When purchasing eligible items at any store, you will most likely be able to use your card, but you should make sure that the item you’re purchasing is in fact eligible. Also to consider is that not every pharmacy is able to process FSA card transactions, so in some cases you won’t be able to find out until you try to make a purchase or unless you check in advance with your FSA administrator. At FSAstore.com, we accept all FSA cards and all major credit/debit cards, so you can rest assured that your purchase of an FSA eligible product will be automatically approved.
