The Smith & Nephew Solosite™ Hydrogel Wound Gel provides a moist environment for optimal wound healing. The gel is supported by a fusible fibre scrim and protected on both sides by polyethylene film. It also uses hydrogel dressing consisting of polyvinylpyrrolidone in water. This product protects the user against dehydration and bacterial contamination while absorbing exudates from the wound. Specifications:
- Weight: 3 oz.
Ingredients: Purified Water, Glycerin, Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium, Allantoin, Benzyl Alcohol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben
- Cleanse the wound with saline or an appropriate wound cleanse
- Apply Solosite Gel to cover the wound bed (5mm thick) and cover with a gauze, foam, or transparent film dressing
- Change the dressing each day or as directed by the physician
